John Wes Townley topped ARCA time trials for Saturday’s Lucas Oil 200 with a lap of 161.313 mph.

BOOGITY! BOOGITY! BOOGITY!

Mark your calendars now and get ready to "reach up and pull those belts down tight one more time!" The Daytona 500 on FOX is set for noon ET on Feb. 24.

Milka Duno posted the second fastest lap (180.505 mph) to sweep the front row for Venturini Motorsports. For Duno, it is also her best starting position on the 2.5-mile track. The 40-year-old Caracas, Venezuela native will make her fourth start at Daytona in an ARCA car on Saturday. Duno failed to finish the race in her first two attempts but drove to a 37th-place showing last year.

For Townley, 23, it was his first Menards Pole Award in the ARCA Series.

“Tomorrow's going to be the day that really counts,” Townley said. “But it means a lot to be able to come here and get the pole. We just need to come out tomorrow and back it up.

There's a new crop of contenders on their way up.

"The car is working very well in the draft too, so I think it'll hold up very well in the race."

Townley’s best finish in the Daytona ARCA event was third in 2010.

Bobby Gerhart, Darrell Wallace Jr. and Julian Jousse rounded out the top five in qualifying. Kyle Larson, who must run the ARCA race to be approved for next week’s Nationwide Series event, rolls off 11th.

The Lucas Oil 200 airs on SPEED on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
