Radio chatter on Lap 68: Spotter TJ Majors warns Dale Earnhardt Jr. about multiple speeding penalties. Junior says, "If you see a pattern, you need to let me know about it."

Lap 68: Leaders pit. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is taking right side tires only.

Lap 67: Clint Bowyer pits even though pit road is closed. As a penalty, he'll restart at the tail end of the longest line.

CAUTION 1 - Lap 66: Debris.

Radio chatter on Lap 65: Danica Patrick: "It's getting looser, looser." Crew chief Tony Gibson says, "Hopefully we'll get a caution soon." If the crew pits under caution, the team will add a spring rubber. Danica, "Oh my God, this is terrible."

Lap 64: Carl Edwards, in eighth and the series most recent winner, is running the fastest laps on the track.

Lap 63: Landon Cassill pits.

Radio chatter on Lap 60: Crew chief Tony Gibson tells Danica Patrick to be patient. Reminds her that team co-owner and teammate Tony Stewart is back at 24th. Patrick is 34th. Both cars are really loose.

Radio chatter on Lap 58: NASCAR is checking on reports of debris on the backstretch.

Radio chatter on Lap 57: Dale Earnhardt Jr. says "it's really slick in the back."

Lap 56: Defending series champion and leader of 11 laps earler today, Brad Keselowski has never won in a Cup race at Vegas. In fact, he's never even finished in the top 10. Keselowski has an average finish of 30.5 at the track.

Lap 54: Bobby Labonte pits again.

Lap 51: After the round of green-flag pit stops, Kasey Kahne is back to the lead. Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. round out the top five.

Lap 49: Kyle Busch, Joey Logano on pit road serving penalties.

Lap 48: PENALTY: Joey Logano pass-through penalty for speeding on pit road.

Lap 48: Leader Jamie McMurray pits.

Lap 47: PENALTIES: Kyle Busch too fast entering. J.J. Yeley too fast entering. Both will be assessed a pass-through penalty.

Lap 47: Carl Edwards, David Stremme, Matt Kenenseth among those pitting.

Lap 46: Brad Keselowski, Tony Stewart, Mark Martin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Jimmie Johnson among those pitting.

Lap 45: Leader Kasey Kahne pits. Juan Pablo Montoya, Martin Truex Jr., Bobby Labonte, Danica Patrick also among those pitting.

Lap 44: Austin Dillon pits for four tires. Denny Hamlin pits. Ken Schrader and Scott Speed also pit.

Radio chatter on Lap 41: Dale Earnhardt Jr. is expected to pit in six laps. He says, "Don't tighten it up too much." Crew chief Steve Letarte says maybe a half-round of wedge.

Lap 38: Greg Biffle pits. He gets a track-bar adjustment. The 16 crew added a spring rubber to Biffle's Ford.

Radio chatter on Lap 37: Crew chief Kenny Francis says when Kasey Kahne pits he'll make sure they take air out of the left rear tire.

Lap 35: Leader Kasey Kahne has enjoyed some top Cup finishes at Las Vegas, but has never won there. He has four top-10 finishes, two of them top fives, and two unfinished races for an average finish of 15.333 at the track.

Lap 34: Kasey Kahne has a lead of more than a second over second-running Brad Keselowski.

Lap 30: Landon Cassill pits.

Lap 18: After stop, Clint Bowyer is scored two laps down and 43rd -- track conditions are dramatically different from yesterday.

Lap 16: Clint Bowyer pits for four tires and track bar one-half down.

Lap 14: Rookie Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is running seventh. The two-time Nationwide Series champion is in his first full season of Sprint Cup competition.

Radio chatter on Lap 11: Dale Earnhardt Jr. says he's loose off.

Lap 10: Kasey Kahne passes Brad Keselowski for the lead.

Radio chatter on Lap 8: Clint Bowyer just says he's loose. He's fallen outside the top 15 after starting second.

Lap 7: Kasey Kahne is closing on leader Brad Keselowski. Kahne has been stout early in races this season, but has struggled to get the finishes that reflect that week to week. Kahne is 31st in the standings.

Lap 6: Check out that gyro-cam as it shows the angle in the turns at Las Vegas. This is a new kind of track for the Gen-6 car.

Lap 5: Kasey Kahne slips around Clint Bowyer to take second.

Lap 3: Brad Keselowski is taking advantage of the position he earned when qualifying was rained out and he earned the top spot by virtue of his 2012 championship. He's pulled away a little.

Lap 1: Brad Keselowski takes the lead.

Prerace radio chatter: Dale Earnhardt Jr.: "Work hard, get another good run here and try to win this thing."

Prerace radio chatter: Matt Kenseth "good luck down there today boys." Crew chief Jason Ratcliff promises to "get him up there."

Lee Spencer reports that Clint Bowyer is hoping that the groove widens out today. He believes it will since the Cup cars have more horsepower and it's hotter and slicker today, too.

Lee Spencer reports that both the Juan Pablo Montoya and Jamie McMurray will drop to the back of the field.
