Black Bears Move Up In Polls Again

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team continues to climb in the national rankings as it moves up to #8 nationally in The Sports Network Top-25 Poll and advances to #9 in the FCS Coaches poll, as announced Monday afternoon.

Maine, coming off a 19-14 victory against Stony Brook, stand all alone at the top of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) standings at 5-0 and 8-1 overall. Maine, the top ranked CAA team in both polls, receives its highest ranking since reaching #7 in the nation on Nov. 1, 2011.

The Black Bears look to move to 6-0 in league play when it travels to take on Albany (1-8, 0-5) on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
