ORONO, Maine -- Women's Track and Field members Corey Conner (West Townsend, Mass.) and Jesse Labreck (Oakland, Maine) will compete in the NCAA Championships in their selected events beginning on June 5 in Eugene, Ore.
Conner will compete in the 10,000m run on Wednesday evening beginning at 10:10 PM EST. Conner qualified for the event after recording a time of 33:28.87 in the east regionals; a time which ranks her fifth best in the nation.
Labreck will take part in the heptathlon as she currently ranks 11th in the nation with a score of 5,551. Labreck, who qualified for the NCAA Championships after winning the heptathlon at the ECAC Championships, will begin her competition on Thursday, June 6. The combined events will be on a rolling schedule with 30 minutes between each events. The heptathlon kicks off on Thursday at 4 PM with the 110m hurdles as the 200m run is set for 9:05 PM. On Friday, June 7, the heptathlon will start at 3:30 PM with the long jump as the 800m is scheduled to begin at 7:50 PM.
