ORONO - The University of Maine women's basketball squad saw its eight-game winning streak snapped against Stony Brook Sunday, but even getting that far takes a ton of individual effort. That's why one Black Bear in particular was honored Monday afternoon.

Freshman guard Dor Saar was named America East Rookie of the Week once again Monday, the third time she has done so this year. She joins Stony Brook's McKenzie Bushee as the only America East basketball players to accomplish such a feat this season. It is also the second week in a row she has been given the honor.

She had a career-high 14 points against Stony Brook alongside four steals, and averaged 9.7 points per game across three games on the week.
