ORONO - After taking care of Acadia in its exhibition game, Maine men's hockey is ready to kick off the season against UConn.

The Black Bears have all sorts of questions heading into the game whether it's in the crease or trying to find the right group of forwards.

Despite the question marks, Maine is confident heading into the series and thinks it can win and claim some precious Hockey East points early on.

"I think if we can work the puck well I think our speed is really premier and I think that's one of our strengths and how we can exploit them," defenseman Patrick Holway said.
