ORONO - A lot of Maine's basketball history is built on the players who were homegrown in the state, and eventually went on to contribute to the UMaine program at the Division I level. The program often looks in-state for top talent, and it appears the team has two big names on its radar for the next couple of seasons.

A source indicated the Maine coaching staff is currently tracking Portland star Terion Moss alongside Oxford Hills' Matthew Fleming. The two were part of an AAU tournament in Springfield, Massachusetts, and the coaching staff was on-hand to watch them. They are expected to keep tabs on them throughout the upcoming school year and the rest of the summer.

Moss was the Maine Gatorade Player of the Year this past season, helping lead Portland to its second-consecutive Class AA state title. He averaged 17.6 points per game in the process, with Portland losing just two games in that span.

Fleming is the younger brother of UMaine sophomore forward Andrew Fleming, who also starred at Oxford Hills.

Moss will graduate after this year, while Fleming will be a junior this coming season.
