State lawmakers want more information before they tackle repairs on the state house dome. They were asked this week to spend $1.2 million dollars to replace the copper sheathing which is showing signs of age. The century old cover has outlived its 75 year lifespan and has holes and other marks left by years of hail and storms. Lawmakers put off a decision on whether to spend the money. They want more information on the domes condition before moving ahead.
