Brewer home destroyed by fire

Fire investigators are trying to find the cause of a fire in Brewer that destroyed a home and sent the owner to the hospital. Fire crews were called to the home on Eastern Avenue around eleven this morning. When they got there they discovered smoke pouring from the home and flames shooting from the rear window. A man who was there at the time had to be rushed to the hospital for undisclosed injuries. Fire officials say the fire started in a room near the back of the home and spread from there. They had the flames snuffed out in a relatively short amount of time, but say the home is a total loss.
