ORLAND - It wasn't a happy thanksgiving for everyone, as an Orland woman was taken to the hospital after a fire destroyed her home.
Two men have been arrested following an attempted robbery in Dexter. 21 year old Michael Hames of Palmyra and 22 year old Tyler Huff of Corinna are accused of trying to rob the local Rite Aid pharmacy on Monday night. Police say one of them passed a threatening note to a pharmacist indicating he had a gun and that he wanted drugs, but the crook got spooked and took off before getting anything. Dexter police say they received a number of tips that led them to the suspects. Tyler Huff was arrested yesterday and Michael Hames was picked up this morning.
