Survey of Homeless People Set for End of January

BANGOR - Each year volunteers from around the state take part in an outreach event to survey the number of homeless in Maine. Several local agencies will brave the cold at the end of January in hopes of making a difference in the lives of others.

Attorney General Approves Welfare Drug-Test

AUGUSTA - The governor's office has been given the go-head to drug test certain welfare recipients. ABC 7 has confirmed that Maine's Attorney General, Janet Mills signed off on the rule and it will now head to Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap's office.

MATTAWAMKEAG - Mattawamkeag residents made it very clear where they stood, voting no 52 to 22, against the purchase of the former Dr. Carl Troutt school for medical marijuana.
