Orono Man Arrested in Nichole Cable Murder Case

Bangor - At a press conference this morning at the Penobscot Sheriff's office, Maine law enforcement officials announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide investigation of Nichole Cable.
 
20 Year Old Kyle Dube of Orono turned himself in to authorites on Friday for unrelated charges. He was formally charged with murder this morning.
 
State Police and the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office say a body, located Monday night, may be that of 15-year-old Nichole Cable.

Spokesman Steve McCausland says identification of the body will not take place until the State Medical Examiner's Office completes its part of the investigation Tuesday.
 
Officials say the remains were found around 9:30 p.m. by the Maine
 
Warden Service at an undisclosed wooded location.
 
The site has been secured for the night.
 
Recovery of the remains will begin at daylight Tuesday.
 
McCausland says Cable's parents were informed of the developments.

Senate Approves Medicaid Expansion

Augusta - The state Senate has given initial approval to the expansion of Medicaid, which provides health insurance to the poor.  Also included in the bill is a plan to repay millions owed to Maine's 39 hospitals, an action long-promoted by Governor LePage.  The bill faces additional votes before landing on the governor's desk.  A veto is expected by the Governor.
