BANGOR - American's around the country today lined city streets waving old glory to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, as we remember on this memorial day.

Child struck by vehicle

A terrible accident Sunday in the Washington county town of Charlotte. That's where a 5 year old boy was killed after getting struck by a vehicle driven by his father. Deputies say Trent James was in the driveway of his home on the Junction road when his father backed over him. Rescuers raced to the scene, but the little boy could not be saved. The accident remains under investigation.
