GREENVILLE - Work has begun on what's said to be a one-of-a kind trail system in the Moosehead Lake Region.
The suspect accused of killing an elderly man in Waterville says he's not guilty.
That's the plea entered this morning by 44 year old Roland Cummings.
He's facing several charges for the stabbing death of 92 year old Aurele Fecteau who was found murdered in his home on May 23.
Police say the home had been broken into and jewelry and other items were missing.
Cummings has since been indicted on charges including intentional, knowing or depraved indifference murder, theft, burglary and burglary to a dwelling.
He entered not guilty pleas on each charge and is being held without bail.
Armed and dangerous.
That's how authorities are describing a man named today as a bank robbery suspect.
The FBI and other law enforcement agencies announced today they're searching for 66 year old John Cecil Slater of Augusta.
They believe he's the person who robbed the Bank of Maine in Hallowell on June 23.
Officials say it was Slater who entered the bank, issued threats and demanded money.
He didn't show a weapon, but he is considered dangerous.
Authorities now hope to hear from anyone who can help track him down.
They say Slater has tattoos on both arms and has a deformed left hand because of a previous injury.
