HODGDON - Two people were able to walk away from a serious, single vehicle crash in Hodgdon.
A state prison inmate has officially been charged with murder.
Richard Stahursky is accused in the stabbing death of of 37 year old Micah Boland at the maine state prison in warren.
Boland was found dead in his cell on friday.
He apparently had been stabbed dozens of times in the face, neck and torso.
He also suffered a broken skull.
Boland was serving time for molesting a 4 year old girl.
Stahursky was sent to prison in 2002 for burglary and theft charges.
He's expected to appear in Knox County Superior Court on thursday to answer to the murder charge. .
A man from Holden faces a stiff sentence after pleading guilty to drug charges.
Police say 32 year old Nicholas McDonald took off running after he was pulled over for a traffic stop in April of last year.
He was found hiding in some woods and was taken to the hospital for treatment of a medical condition.
Turns out, he had a package of heroin hidden inside his body.
Police also found a safe in his car that contained guns, a scale and other items used to package and sell illegal drugs.
The U.S. Attorney's Office reports that McDonald plead guilty to charges including possession with the intent to distrubute heroin and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He faces up to 20 years on each charges and about a quarter million dollars in fines.
A sentencing date has not been set.
An armed robber held up a convenience store today in Winthrop.
Police say the man was wearing pajama bottoms and was armed with a pistol when he walked into the Circle K on Main Street.
He demanded money and then fled when he got what he wanted.
Police are now circulating security images with hopes that someone recognizes the man.
He's described as being about 5 foot 7 to 6 feet tall..
He's a white male in his 20's and also has brown eyes.
Police say he was wearing a white mask, a hoodie with a logo on the back that reads "support the twins" and also had on green pajama bottoms.
