Update: Three Connecticut Boys Found Safe

BANGOR - Information received from a Connecticut Police Department prompted area police to be on the lookout for three children reportedly abducted by their non custodial mother. Tuesday that woman is behind bars waiting for extradition.

Amber Alert Cancelled

 

Bangor Police received information from the Vernon Police Department in Connecticut that three young boys and their mother had fled the state of Connecticut and could be traveling to Bangor. An Amber Alert was also issued by Vernon PD. The boys were described as two 7 year old twins and a 9 year old brother.

 

Detectives Brian Smith and Larry Morrill, along with Sgt. Paul Kenison responded to the Hilton Garden Inn and found the car alleged to have been used to take the boys. The officers took the mother, 32 year old Jackie Morris into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Connecticut related to the case.

 

All 3 boys will be taken into temporary custody by Maine DHHS and are awaiting for the father to arrive in Bangor to take his children.
