27 year old Josh Austin was arrested last week and chared with gross sexual assault.
Authorities say the investigation began last month after police learned about the alleged offense from the Department of Health and Human Services.
Police haven't said if the victim was male or female, but will say the person was under the age of 18 and they both knew each other.
Folks in downtown Bangor are being warned about a planned power outage.
Emera Maine says it will have to cut off electricity to make improvments to the system.
The outage will take place from midnight until 6:00 Saturday morning.

Police have identified the two people involved in a bad hit-and-run crash in Orrington.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Department says it was 59 year old Robin Rie of Brewer who had slowed Saturday morning to make a left hand turn from Route 15..
That's when her suv was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 29 year old Marc Sparks of Bucksport.
Rie's vehicle ended up going off the road before crashing into a porch and officials say Sparks sped away.
Police later caught up with him in Bucksport where he confirmed his involvment in the crash.
Sparks wasn't injured, but at last report Robin Rie was still in critical condition.
Authorities expect sparks will face charges as the investigation continues.
