Songbirds, a True Sign of Spring

BANGOR - You may have seen a mixture of rain, sleet, hail, and snow falling out there Friday afternoon, but believe it or not it is spring, and one group of animals is here to stay. 

Volunteer firefighters needed

Local fire departments are sending out the call for help. They say in todays busy world they're struggling to find enough volunteers to help fight fires and respond to other emergencies. In Carmel, Chief Michael Azevedo says he has a hard time making sure enough people are available for when people dial 911. He relies on mutual aid agreements with other towns just to have enough manpower to respond. Without those agreements, there could be big delays in situations where every moment counts. Chief Azevedo says his department is not alone He's urging people to check with their own departments to learn about the need in their communities.

AG Urged To Look Into Alleged Obstruction By LePage

AUGUSTA -  Maine's attorney general is being urged to look into allegations that Governor Paul LePage is pressuring unemployment hearing officers to rule in favor of businesses over laid-off workers.
