Doctors Warn of CO Poisoning Risk
BANGOR - Doctors are warning mainers that the flu is not the only health danger to be wary of this winter.
The colorless, odorless gas known as CO is produced whenever any fuel is burnt. In the winter months, when people are likely to be home sick with the flu, the risk of exposure increases.
To add to the danger, CO poisoning displays symptoms similar to those of the flu. One major difference is that CO does not present a fever. For more information, including information about the current flu going around the area, and how to prevent CO poisoning in your home, go to StJoesHealing.org.
