Orono - After a terrifying crash on interstate 95 in Massachusetts last night, the University of Maine women's basketball team is happy to be back in Orono safe and sound this Wednesday.
The team was traveling to Boston University for a basketball game that would have been played tonight, when suddenly, the bus began to go off course.
After flying through the median and four lanes of oncoming traffic, the bus landed in the woods, right side up, and without hitting a single other vehicle.
Despite bumps, bruises, and one player with a broken hand, the team is now home safe, and ready to get back to normal.
The bus driver, who had to be air lifted from the scene, is said to be in fair condition at this hour.
As far as basketball goes, coach Barron says his team will proceed with play, once players meet with doctors tomorrow.
