Mainer Returns Wallet To Solider In Afghanistan

Otis - A civilian aircraft mechanic from Otis is getting praise for his determination to make sure a Colorado soldier got his wallet back after the Maine resident found it on the streets of Afghanistan.

According to the reports, Bill Peasley found the wallet on January 17th, and used an emergency contact number inside the billfold to contact Bob Meeker in Landsdale, Pennsylvania. Meeker is the grandfather of Chad Reid, the Colorado soldier who lost the wallet. Meeker contacted Reid's mother, who relayed messages of how to contact Peasley to her son. The soldier got his wallet back the same night, and was greatly relieved -- without it, he could not have boarded a flight back to his base the next day.
