Students Show Off Talent in UMaine Musical

ORONO - It was the opening weekend for a Broadway musical, performed by students at the University of Maine.
Spring Awakening made it's Broadway debut in 2006.  The story follows teenagers as they grow up and struggle to understand their sexuality in repressive 19th-century Germany.  Now being performed at UMaine, students have the chance to put their talents to use.

The musical will continue next weekend....with shows at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

Tickets are available online through the University of Maine School of Performing Arts.
