SOUTH PORTLAND - A pizza delivery driver was robbed a gunpoint Saturday night after meeting up with an alleged customer at an apartment complex parking lot in South Portland.
Just before 10 p.m. the driver met with the customer in the parking lot of 499 Westbrook Street, also known as the Olde English Village apartments. Upon speaking with the customer, two unidentified males approached from a corner of the building and threatened the driver. One was armed with a knife and the other was armed with a handgun.
They demanded the victim give him his money, which he did. The delivery driver was not harmed. The two males fled on foot in the direction of Westbrook Street with a small amount of cash and the pizza. The customer also fled on foot in the same direction, and is believed to be involved in the robbery.
One of the suspects was described as a black male in his early twenties, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall, thin build wearing a red bandana covering his face, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. Another, a black male in his early twenties, about 5 feet, 6 inches with a thin build, wearing a red and gray bandana covering his face, and black hooded sweatshirt and pants. And the third suspect is described as a dark skinned black male about 20-years-old, 5 feet 5 inches and about 120 pounds with "very crooked front teeth."
