Pasta Drive Aims to Collect an Inexpensive Staple

BREWER - A handful of volunteers for a local food pantry were out in full force at supermarkets throughout the area today...aiming to feed the hungry.
Manna Ministries held it's annual Pasta for the Poor drive at several Hannaford locations...collecting a particular item that they say doesn't cost a lot but can go a long way: pasta.

The drive attempted to collect one ton of pasta, or about 2,000 boxes.  Those of which will be distributed to area pantries in need.  If you missed the drive, you can still donate by bringing items to Manna's pantry at 629 Main Street in Bangor.
