State Launches Teen Driver Safety Program

Maine is launching a new program to help parents keep their teenagers safe on the highway.
Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap announced the program yesterday. The "Parent's Supervised Driving Program" is designed to supplement the driver's education program offered in Maine's schools. Maine is now one of nine states using the program that aims to reduce the number of motor vehicle fatalities, which is the leading cause of death among teenagers.
