Belfast Teacher Accused of Selling Marijuanna to Students

Belfast - A Belfast Area High School teacher, accused of selling marijuana to students and smoking it with them, is facing drug charges.

32 year old Sarah Lawler-Stoddard of Belfast is a Jobs for Maine's Graduates teacher. She was arrested and charged with 8 counts of furnishing marijuana to her students. School resource officer, Greg Stearns, caught wind of what was going on late last month.

Job's for Maine's Graduates president, Craig Larrabee, also received a phone call from a concerned parent. J.M.G is currently investigating to determine which students were involved. Lawler-Stoddard was dismissed on February 6th, prior to her arrest two days later, and was not an RSU 20 employee. She only taught classes at the high school through the J.M.G. program.

Lawler-Stoddard has been released on $1,000 cash bail and is due back in court on March 28th.
