Prison Worker Files Whistle-Blower Suit
WISCASSETT -  A former deputy warden at the Maine State Prison has filed a whistle-blower lawsuit.
James Farrell says his job was eliminated the day after he spoke up about Prison Warden Patricia Barnhardt.

Barnhardt's 2011 purchase of three houses that belonged to the prison was eventually ruled a conflict of interest.

Farrell says he also suffered retaliation for speaking up about safety and inadequate staffing.
