With the Storm Over, Let the Digging Out Begin

BANGOR - Now that the storm is over... you may have begun digging out.  But before you grab the shovel or fire up the snow-blower...there are a few precautions you should take.
Emergency response officials warn anyone tackling the blizzard's snowfall to pace themselves while shoveling.  Over-exertion can cause injury and bring on heart problems.  If you experience any signs of heart attack, such as chest pain, discomfort or shortness of breath, call 9-1-1.

Health officials advise wearing several layers of lightweight loose fitting clothing to keep warm, rather than one heavy layer.  Wearing a hat will help prevent loosing body heat through your head and covering your mouth with a scarf can protect your lungs.
