Committee Looks to UMaine Students for Workforce Preparedness

Media

ORONO - These students at the University of Maine have a few ideas about changing technology, and Maine's leaders are listening.
Maine's Workforce and Economic Future Committee took a tour of the Advanced Manufacturing Center today....where students from different departments shared skills they've acquired to prepare them for the working world.

The Virtual Environment and Multimodal Interaction...or VEMI Lab, has created a headset that simulates an indoor disaster scenario...something that could prove to be quite useful.

Continuing their focus on workforce development, the committee also held a public hearing at Eastern Maine Community College...letting others know the importance of the next generation in the workforce.
