Quality Inn Donates Mattresses to Welcome to Housing

Bangor - A generous donation by a local hotel means that nearly 100 mainers will sleep easy, despite a tough transition from shelters into permanent housing.
A slew of volunteers moved 80 gently used mattresses out of the Quality Inn on Hogan Road in Bangor...and loaded them into moving trucks, to be donated to the Welcome to Housing program. Welcome to Housing began two years ago as a grant program for the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter, and now works to collect household items for a wider array of people in need. For more on the program, including a list of upcoming events, check out www.WelcomeToHousing.com.
