Brewer - A new partnership between two Maine energy companies could mean more benefits both to a wider array of customers, and the environment.
The Dead River Company and Xpress Natural Gas will be teaming up to deliver compressed natural gas to commercial and institutional customers who may not necessarily have a pipeline running through their towns.
XNG is retrofitting the former Louisiana Mill in Bailyville into a new compressed natural gas plant, capable of producing 8 billion cubic feet of the substance each year.
They say, choosing Dead River as the carrier of that product, was a no brainer. XNG is expected to begin production in Bailyville as soon as next week.
