Bangor - Over a dozen students from China arrived in Bangor tonight...where they will spend a week learning about our culture and testing their English level.
Fifteen students and three teachers from Huai Boarding School in Hubei Province China will explore Maine high schools over the course of the next week. The Chinese Language and Culture Center of Maine will bring them to John Bapst, Orono Middle and High Schools, Hampden Academy, Dover Foxcroft, and Lee Academy.
The group's visit to Bangor will kick off with an opening ceremony and reception at Bangor City Hall on Monday morning...where they will be introduced to several city officials.
Erin joined the ABC-7 and FOX Bangor news team in February 2012. She was born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine where she attended Presque Isle High School. While in college Erin interned in the WVII news room before working as a Production Assistant. In May of 2012, Erin received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maine, along with a minor in Anthropology. When she's not out covering local news, Erin enjoys running, skiing, visiting with family and friends, and traveling around this beautiful state.
