ORONO - Maine State Police Troop E may be getting some new doors come spring of this year. The barracks currently located on Main Street in Orono could move it's operations to the Bangor International Airport as soon as May.
Troop Commander, Wesley Hussey says the 60 year old building has some significant structural issues and they've outgrown the small building.
The flight center will give them an additional 9,000 square feet and will allow for the Major Crimes Unit to be hosued under the same roof.
The governor's office has already approved the lease agreement and the Bangor City Council is expected to vote on it at the end of the month.
