Cameron To Plead Guilty To Fleeing From Prosecution

BANGOR - The former state prosecutor arrested in New Mexico after fleeing from his impending imprisonment on child pornography charges will plead guilty to charges connected to his apprehension.

Federal Public Defender David Beneman filed a motion in U.S. District Court yesterday seeking to delay former prosecutor James Cameron's trial on a contempt charge to February 19th.

Beneman says he is trying to work out a deal with federal prosecutors that led to Cameron changing his current plea to guilty.

Prosecutors are not opposed to the motion.
