Colorado Company To Build Kennebec Valley Pipeline

Augusta - A Colorado company has a green light to build a natural gas pipeline in the Kennebec Valley.
The state Public Utilities Commission gave unanimous approval yesterday to Summit Natural Gas.  The company plans to start laying pipe when the new construction season begins.  Summit hopes that, by November 1st, it will complete work on a 67-mile steel pipeline stretching trough a dozen communities, from Madison in the north to Richmond in the south.
