BANGOR - Its been under construction for over a year now, promising to bring thousand of people for all sorts of functions. We're talking about the new Cross Insurance Center right on Main Street.
From blue prints to reality, the new Bangor arena boldly stands over Main Street, changing the landscape of Downtown Bangor for decades to come.
Bathrooms and Concessions stands around every corner. Bars and Luxury Suites, waiting to be filled by eager fans.
The red cushioned seats make for a popular change from the old wooden ones at the current arena. Promising a comfortable and perfect view of any event.
The building also houses a number of conference spaces, as well as a ballroom that can hold hundreds for any function. It's truly a space that will bring thousands of people together from all parts of the region.
Officials say the center could open as soon a September. The old Bangor Arena is scheduled to hold its last event in May.
