ELLSWORTH - A specific wing of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital was open to the public today to help alleviate some stress when it comes to a certain service.
Staff from the Dixon Surgical Center were on hand to answer questions and concerns about the day to day operations.
Those who attended were able to take a tour through the suite, hopefully ridding the uneasiness that comes with any sort of planned or unplanned surgery.
"This is a really good opportunity to not only see the instrumentation of what goes on, but also meet the staff in a really comfortable environment," Anne Roy, Interim Director of Peri-operative Services, says.
"It was so informative," Rhonda Perry, of Cherryfield, says. "Everyone was great. I just can't say enough."
A walk through the center included seeing two operating rooms complete with surgical tools and other medical equipment.
