EMMC Employees Clean Up Chapin Park

BANGOR - Employees at Eastern Maine Medical Center were volunteering their time today as part of National Hospital Week.

The group, which was made up of staff from several different departments at the hospital, spent the morning spring cleaning at Chapin Park in Bangor.

Employees picked up trash, spread mulch, raked the grass, and planted new flowers in the center of the space.

The day is an annual event for the hospital, whose staff says the park is an important part of the community.

The clean up is in conjunction with National Hospital Week which focuses on compassion, innovation, and dedication at the center of hospitals.
