ELLSWORTH - The Bucksport teenager charged with manslaughter and aggravated driving to endanger made her first court appearance.
The teen was in the court room for just a matter of minutes.
She's being charged as a juvenile in an accident last year that took the life of 15-year-old Taylor Darveau.
Darveau's friends and family were in the courtroom today for the brief arraignment.
“It really hasn't unfolded much. We'll just have to wait for the next court date, and we'll be Taylor's voice, and we'll be here to be Taylor-strong,” says Taylor’s aunt, Jennifer Henaire.
A friend of Taylor’s explained what she would like to see unfold in the case.
“Just having Taylor's voice heard and understand that actions have consequences and you're going to have to serve them," says friend, Hailey Betts.
The teenager did not enter a plea. The Ellsworth Clerk’s Office said the case is set for conference with no known date set at this time.
