BANGOR - The Kahbang Arts Central Gallery opens its doors tomorrow and you’re invited.
At its 89 central street location, from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be live music, a raffle, drinks, and food.
The gallery has been in the works for the last year.
After receiving help from the city, organizers found a building and have been in the process of renovating the space to attract folks from around the area.
“We just think the arts are really important here in Bangor, and Kahbang started in the beginning this cultural revolution with the Folk Festival and we have intent to stay here long term and keep bringing artists here and this was a big piece of making that happen," says Executive Director, Meg Shorette.
Art from a new artist will be on the walls every month with an exhibit held on the first Saturday of that month.
Bryan joined the news team in February of 2014. You can catch him weekday mornings on WVII ABC 7's Good Morning Maine at 6:30am and WFVX FOX 22's 7am News Hour. Bryan has held an interest in news since he was a child, often sitting in front of a video camera reading the newspaper.
Bryan is an Indiana native, and yes, an Indianapolis Colts fan. Also a graduate of Ball State University, Bryan holds a degree in Telecommunications and Journalism. He also has a passion for weather, and holds a minor in meteorology and climatology.
When not at the station, you will most likely find Bryan hiking, skiing, snow climbing and also enjoying the beach in the summer. He plans to enjoy everything Maine has to offer.
