BANGOR - Downtown Bangor is expected to be booming with families this weekend for the fourth annual Kid Central Festival.
Coinciding with national Free Comic Book Day the fest will have various activities at several locations this Saturday from 10:00 until 3:00.
Those including a tie-dye station, cannoli making, and a "Jungle Book" scavenger hunt with the Robinson Ballet, to name a few, all in an effort to get as many people downtown to enjoy the season.
"That's pretty much the goal behind the festival, to bring more kids downtown," Gibran Graham, event organizer, says. "Let get these kids, at any age, to feel like downtown is theirs, and that there's always something to do, not just go to the Maine Discovery Museum."
The superhero costume competition will once again be held, so make sure to get those creative juices flowing.
