ORONO - Have you stumbled across an old painting, or maybe another valuable antique, while doing some spring cleaning? Well there's an opportunity to find out what it's actually worth this weekend at Dirigo Pines.
The Antique Appraisal Show, now in it's 5th year, is a chance for residents and community members to meet with Bruce Buxton who is a well known appraiser from Portland.
He and several others will be on hand, appraising all sorts of antiques from Olympics memorabilia to fine watches and jewelry.
There is a fee to have items appraised, but all proceeds will support sponsorships for the elderly or disabled who need a 'help button' but are unable to afford it.
"It's 15 dollars per item, so if you are unsure of an item's value you can come here" says Jennifer Maskala, EMHS LiveSAFE & Telecare Manager. "It goes to EMHS LiveSAFE, so you're also supporting a great cause."
It's all happening this Saturday, Spril 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dirigo Pines in Orono.
