BANGOR - Bangor residents can clean up their yards over the next couple of weeks and enjoy free curbside pick up of some of their debris.
Bangor Public Works will be helping clean up the city. Starting May 5th crews will pick up brush and metal objects left out before 6 a.m.
Brush includes tree clippings, limbs, and tall shrubs. Metal objects like ovens, washers, and dryers are accepted. Items containing freon such as refrigerators, and televisions and computer monitors will not be accepted.
Items needing to be picked up should be placed by the edge of the road.
Pick up will only be offered curbside. The city will not supply any other services for spring clean up at their Maine Avenue location this year.
