Three Hospitalized After Shooting Altercation

DOVER-FOXCROFT - Three people were hospitalized this morning after an incident at a Dover-Foxcroft residence involving multiple gun shots.

Police were called to the Lancaster Avenue home around 6 a.m., for a reported fight. The altercation involved two people, the owners of the trailer, and another person who came onto the property. Authorities say the three knew each other previously.

Officials believe three shots were fired at the individual that showed up at the residence, who was later transported by LifeFlight.

The individual was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center and the homeowners were taken to Mayo Regional Hospital.

Officials expect the gun shot wound victim to make a full recovery. The homeowners have since been treated and released for their minor wounds.

Police say charges will be filed, but they are continuing to investigate the incident, which police believe stems from a previous altercation.
