BANGOR - Families with little ones got out of the house this weekend.
The 2nd Annual Kids Fest brought fun for children at the Cross Insurance Center.
The Easter Bunny was on hand to snap a picture and there were a variety of games for the kids.
Everything from bounce houses and laser tag, to mini golfing and miniature pony riding.
Organizers say in just one hour about a thousand adults and children filed through the doors, nearly meeting the expectations for the entire day.
“We just wanted to give something for the kids to do because, it's the end of winter, people are getting a little stir crazy and it's something for the kids to have fun and get out of the house,” said Katie Doak of Townsquare Media.
This was the first time being held at the Cross Insurance Center. Organizers say the event drew on last year's success.
