Drug Crimes Bill Defeated, Governor Expresses Disappointment

AUGUSTA - Governor Paul LePage -- blasting lawmakers Friday for defeating his drug crime prevention bill.

The measure would have provided funding for four new district court judge positions, fourteen drug enforcement agents, and four additional assistant attorneys general.



LePage says the effort aimed to provide Maine with additional resources to combat the state's growing drug problem.
