Caswell Man Killed in Northern Maine Flooding

CASWELL - The Maine Warden Service recovered the body of a Caswell man this morning, after he was swept downstream during flooding.

They say 74-year old Paul Oliver moved his truck across a flooded roadway last night, and while attempting to walk back across the flooded portion he stepped into a culvert and was swept downstream. They say he was taken approximately 20 yards, and his body was located shortly after 5 am today.

Officials are reminding folks to avoid driving or walking through flooded roadways--they say you can't predict the depth or conditions beneath the water.
