Tuning Up Your Bicycle for Spring

ORONO - As the days get warmer, you may choose to make your daily commute on two wheels, instead of four.

If that's the case, you'll want to get your bicycle tuned up. Experts advise looking over your equipment when you take it out of storage, before you hit the roads. Check for cracked frames, low tire pressure, and other issues.

Many riders are even opting for an early season alternative: flat resistant tires, to better protect against rough Maine roads.

Bike enthusiasts can also check out the the Orono Bike Swap this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UMaine New Balance Rec Center.
