A double homicide and death by cop in lamoine back in late October has been cleared by the maine attorney general's office.
Maine attorney general William Schneider says state police detective Randall Keaten, was justified when he used deadly force during a confrontation with 27 year-old Leon Tilden. Back on October 23rd tilden fatally shot his father Robert Tilden, and his uncle Russell Pinkham at his home in lamoine.
A trooper tactical team, which included detective Keaten, shot Tilden after responding to the scene and entering the residence.
The Maine attorney general's office is charged with investigating whenever deadly force is used by police.
