State Considers Wider BPA Ban

Augusta - Maine officials are considering expanding the ban on a potentially hazardous chemical.
The Board of Environmental Protection yesterday discussed the proposal that would broaden the rule that currently bans bisphenol A, or BPA, from bottles and sippy cups, to include packing of infant formula, baby food and toddler food.  The Board of Environmental Protection is expected to decide later this month whether it will broaden the ban.
