Teachers Help Ronald McDonald House

HERMON - Local teachers are stepping up and donating items to help sick children and their families.

Members of the Brewer Education Association delivered a "wish list" donation to the Bangor Ronald McDonald House Tuesday afternoon.

The house is privately funded, with organizers raising every dollar to keep it in operation.

"Groups like this that give us Wish List donations of laundry detergent, dish detergent, shampoo, cereal, trash bags, things we use in our lives every single day helps us to not have to spend dollars that we raise and make the families more comfortable while they're staying here," says executive director Darlene Macleod.

There can be up to 14 families at a time staying at Bangor's Ronald McDonald House.

For more information on how you can help, call the Ronald McDonald House at (207) 942-9003.
