Bangor - The day probably involved shoveling and snowblowing for many of you...but for nearly two dozen Bangor Public Works employees, it's sweeping the streets to help you get where you need to. We caught up with one of these city plow drivers, to see the storm from their perspective.
We joined Justin Brown on his route, which starts at the Public Works building on Maine Avenue, goes up Hammond Street and over to Fairmount Park, looping by the Municipal Golf Course and back around. The city has about 20 of these trucks for cleaning up storms...which can make for an interesting day of work.
But you don't want to leave your car parked on a curb, overnight when this blanket of winter white comes to town...these guys work with the Police Department and Union Street towing to make sure nothing lies in their path from 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
