E.M.H.S. Changes Emergency Response Service Name

BANGOR - Four area medical facilities are consolidating their names to make things easier on their emergency service customers.

The Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital, Inland Hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center and RossCare have changed the name of their emergency response service to E.M.H.S. LiveSAFE.

LiveSAFE allows customers to push a button on a lanyard or bracelet to contact first responders during an emergency situation.

E.M.H.S. says current subscribers will not see any changes, but billing and other clerical information will be streamlined.

Anyone is eligible to subscribe, whether it is on a temporary or a more permanent basis.
