BANGOR - Despite there being six more weeks of winter, plans for spring and summer on the Bangor waterfront are well underway.
The Bangor Parks and Recreation and Harbor advisory committee met Monday night discussing projects for the upcoming season.
The city of Bangor and the Department of Environmental Protection are cooperatively working together to address some issues with the concert venue, with hopes to have a majority of them straightened out by the start of the season.
"We're working out the kinks and always learning as we go," Tracy Willette, of Bangor Parks & Rec, says. "Certainly the waterfront and the concert venue is a learning curve for us. It gets busier all the time, which is a good thing for us, and it's great to see people taking advantage of the venue down there."
Additionally dock slips and harbor updates were discussed for the upcoming boating season.
Advisers are already getting rentals for the summer.
